How many countries are there in the world?
I was asked today by one friend how many countries are there in the world? My friend gave me two choices1)152 or2) 265. The second choice seemed closer to reality than the first one.
I came home and researched. Those were the outcomes:
1) There are 193 countries in the world
2) Some entities count them as 192 since they do not consider Taiwan as a separate country from China
This information is from infoplease..does anyone one know it differently?
It Should be an easy question to answer because countries are COUNTABLE and because this piece of information just matters to know...
